This had an interesting genesis. I was enjoying the lovely fall walking the Pack and would not have time to paint the 9X24 of the Genesee River Valley. I also haven't figured out how to paint it. So I did the little sketch on card stock. I thought it was going to be sky, water, rocks scene. When I transferred it to the panel I saw a voe and headlands.
These panels are super slick. To say they don't hold paint easily is an understatement. Roofing tar would look semi-transparent. So...if I am going to paint in one setting I need to be patient and recognize that the brush will grab and expose the gessoed surface.
Two brushes: 6 Lukas Flat and 8 Rosemary Long Filbert Series 278 (for light blending). The Flat was used to "paste" the paint. I also used a trowel knife and a wooden skewer.
Charvin: Titanium White; Ash Blue; Sap Green; Cassel Earth.
Gamblin Naples Yellow; Olive Green; Payne's Grey.

Williamsburg: French Yellow Ochre Deep; French Ardoise Grey; German Earth; Stil de Grain; Italian Terra Rose; Italian Black Roman Earth; Cinnebar Green Light.
And Melissa Errico and Tierney Sutton bringing magic.
